David Widerhorn Biography

Mr. Widerhorn's professional background begins with his training at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he received two degrees graduating at the age of 19. While at MIT he conducted research and published a thesis in artificial intelligence at the world-renown Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). His degrees are in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science and Management Science - Finance. After graduating he gained extensive industry experience working in the capacity of a hybrid trader-engineer architecting high frequency trading strategies from conception to production and trading them on global proprietary trading desks.
It was this experience that motivated him to found DWC a boutique financial technology firm in 2009 with the goal of solving the industry challenges presented by high frequency trading. Under his leadership DWC has become a global name with a 30 person team behind it and a headquarters office in the CBOT. Today DWC sells a business intelligence product suite called Neurensic which combines Mr. Widerhorn’s artificial intelligence and quantitative modeling expertise with years of consulting experience to address the industry’s key compliance and operational issues through advanced forensic analysis and data visualization.
