Beatriz Acevedo Biography

Beatriz Acevedo is a digital pioneer and veteran TV Producer with more than 20 years of entertainment experience having created developed and produced hundreds of original primetime television shows and award-winning digital series in multiple languages. Her agnostic approach to both traditional and digital content creation has earned her three Emmy Awards an MTV Award two Streamy Awards and a Media Correspondent Award among others. She has also developed and produced branded content and campaigns targeting millennial youth for numerous blue chip brands.
Beatriz has dedicated her life’s work to creating opportunities for diverse youth in an effort to empower their voices and influence culturally relevant depictions of Latinos in media.
In 2012 she co-founded mitú the leading digital media brand and emerging voice of young Latinos in the U.S. that delivers mainstream media with a Latino POV. At mitú she created the “mitú Accelerator” a mentorship initiative that provides access to the next generation of multi-cultural storytellers.
