Chris Scarduzio Biography

Scarduzio began his career working for the Sheraton Resort in Poipu Beach, Hawaii. Two years later, he moved back to his hometown to become the opening chef for the Ritz-Carlton’s Grill Room, which was named one of the top 25 restaurants in the country by Conde Naste Traveler magazine.

Chris spent four years at the Ritz receiving rave reviews. Yet he decided to make his next move to the Germantown Cricket Club as executive chef. It was there that he met Chef Georges Perrier for the first time. Impressed by his talent, Chef Perrier hired Scarduzio to be part of Brasserie Perrier’s opening crew. Two short years later he became the restaurant’s Executive Chef. It was Chris hard work, determination and talent that named him Chef Perrier’s partner at Brasserie Perrier.

Chef Scarduzio and Chef Perrier joined forces again with the opening of their second project, Brasserie Perrier Café at Boyds. This opened to great fanfare in the spring 2005. Soon after, they partnered once more to introduce a new flavor to Caesars Palace in Atlantic City. The Mediterranean bistro, Mia, was named after Scarduzio’s youngest child and only daughter.

Chefs Scarduzio and Perrier will again be expanding their enterprise in 2007 with the opening of Table 31 in the new Comcast Center in Philadelphia.

A native of Philadelphia, Chris Scarduzio graduated from West Catholic High School for Boys in 1984. He graduated with honors from the highly acclaimed Culinary Institute of America.
