Cara Bradley Biography

Cara Bradley, author of On The Verge: Wake Up, Show Up, and Shine (New World Library) is a mental strength coach, yoga and meditation teacher, , life-long entrepreneur, and former pro-skater for Rollerblade, having devoted more than three decades to mind training, movement and personal transformation. She is the founder of award-winning Verge Yoga Center and co-founder of a non-profit, Mindfulness Through Movement, providing programs to schools in Philadelphia.

Cara inspires and educates others on how to train their mind and body to experience life directly, and access their natural intelligence and innate potential. She teaches full body mindfulness programs at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, Omega Institute, and holds retreats both in the U.S. and abroad. She offers peak performance programs for conference and corporations including Mindful Leadership Summit, Mindful Life Summit, Social Venture Network Conference, Institute for Noetic Science Conference, Word Bank Group, AmeriGas, and Fidelity Investments. Cara is a mental strength coach to college sports teams including Villanova University Football and Basketball, Yale University Soccer, University of Pennsylvania Soccer, Penn State University Basketball.

She hosts two podcast series: On The Verge, and Real Women, Courageous Wisdom for Women for One. Cara blogs weekly on her website and is a frequent contributor to The Huffington Post, Medium, Elephant Journal, MindBodyGreen, and Mindful Magazine.

Cara competed as a figure skater and turned professional at the age of fifteen when she began teaching. As a pro skater for Team Rollerblade, a performance group for Rollerblade Inc., she performed shows in the U.S., Asia, and Europe. She created and starred in SkateFit: The Complete In-Line Skating Workout (ABA Productions, 1994) and co-authored In-Line Skate New England: The Complete Guide to 101 Tours (Countryman Press, 2003) with Cindy Copeland Lewis and Tom Lewis.

She graduated from the Stern School of Business at New York University and has been a life-long entreprenuer starting several businesses including Blade Skatewear and Camp Rollerblade. She is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher ERYT with Yoga Alliance.
