Dr. Ring is a recognized leader in the field of protein engineering and in its use for targeting novel pathways of the immune system. He was a primary inventor of the core technologies of Ab Initio Biotherapeutics.
Additionally, he invented several promising immunotherapeutic agents while at Stanford, most notably, high-affinity SIRPα variants, which represent another potentially transformative advance in cancer immunotherapy. Currently, he is the Robert T. McCluskey Yale Scholar and Assistant Professor of Immunobiology at the Yale School of Medicine. Prior to his training at Stanford, Dr. Ring received concurrent B.S. and M.S.
