Tahoe's Connection for Families is working to impact their California community with parenting education and child learning. As part of their Share the Love initiative, they recently had Freak Factor author David Rendall come in to host a workshop. Rendall took lessons from his book to lead the "Freak Factor for Families" session. It was held on February 8 at the North Tahoe Events Center in Kings Beach. Rendall spoke about how to positively reinforce kids' characteristics instead of squelching their unique personalities and turning them into different people. The event was also preceded by a free community breakfast, where attendees all received a complimentary copy of Freak Factor. Over the last 15 years, Rendall has spoken all over the world and on every continent. Each month, he gives between 6-10 speaking engagements that put him in front of diverse audiences.
