Beloved Celebrity Chef Brings Her Infectious Personality to Premier Health Event
Every year, the Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo (FNCE) brings together registered dietitian nutritionists, nutrition science researchers, healthcare providers, nutrition policy experts, and industry leaders for the premier event in nutrition.

Carla Hall is an American chef, television personality, and author, best known for her appearances on Bravo’s “Top Chef” and as a co-host on ABC’s “The Chew” from 2011 to 2018. A native of Nashville, Tennessee, she transitioned from a career in accounting to culinary arts, training at L’Academie de Cuisine in Maryland. Hall gained fame for her vibrant personality and “Hootie Hoo” catchphrase on “Top Chef”, where she quickly became a fan favorite.
She has authored cookbooks like “Carla’s Comfort Foods” (2014) and “Cooking with Love” (2012), focusing on soul food and Southern cuisine. She has appeared on various Food Network shows, including "Thanksgiving Pie Fight" and "Holiday Baking Championship." Hall also hosts "Chasing Flavor" on Max, exploring global culinary traditions, and is a judge on Food Network’s "Halloween Baking Championship." She’s recognized for her advocacy of Southern and comfort food, often blending her heritage with international influences.
