Zedd began including music in his daily activities when he was still a young child. Born Anton Zaslavski Zedd, he was nurtured by two classically educated musicians in Kaiserslautern, Germany. He started playing the piano at the age of four and gradually increased his understanding of the classical repertoire throughout his youth, at times even producing a song every day.
Anton started playing the drums at the age of twelve, and shortly after, he joined the post-hardcore/metal combo Dioramic. He started writing and producing various rock songs at the recording studio that belonged to his band as a young kid.
