Zack studied Zoology & Conservation Biology at NMIT in his home Australia, where his father worked as a ranger for Australia's Fisheries & Wildlife. Zack's modules included Ethology, Ornithology, and Wildlife Management. Zack is primarily interested in cognitive ethology—the study of the minds of mammals, birds, and other animals. Heart has devoted his life to the study of animals, spending hundreds of hours in the field observing and researching various species in both Australia and the United States. He has experience working with several rescue organizations and is trained in wildlife search and rescue. He has also worked as a zookeeper at several wildlife sanctuaries with some of the most exotic animals in the world, including kangaroos, koalas, tigers, bears, and more!
