Yamiche Alcindor contributes to NBC News, MSNBC, and PBS NewsHour as a White House correspondent. She formerly worked for The New York Times as a national correspondent covering politics and social justice topics. She traveled extensively to cover Senator Bernie Sanders' and Donald J. Trump's presidential campaigns after joining The Times in 2015. Additionally, she has written about the impact of President Obama's appeal to voters of color, the worry of working-class Americans, and the effects of police deaths on neighborhoods and young people.
