Prior to getting admitted into USC's School of Cinematic Arts for TV & Film Production, Xavier Burgin attended The University of Alabama. He developed his creative approach there and fell in love with writing and directing. The filmography of Xavier has been approved by Troy International Film Festival, American Black Film Festival, Raindance Film Festival, San Diego Black Film Festival, and HBO Short Film Competition. He placed first at the International 3D Society's film competition and was a finalist in the UCFTI Expo Stage 32 film competition. Through his long-form Twitter tales, Xavier has gained a following of more than 40.000 followers and has been featured on websites like Buzzfeed, Distractify, Complex Global Grind, Clutch Magazine, Thought Catalog, and Alux. Olde E, a 546 Advanced Narrative film produced by Xavier at USC's School of Cinematic Arts, won the Charles and Lucille King Best of Student Media Award and advanced to the 43rd Student Academy Awards semifinals. Based on the movie project he co-wrote with Tiara Marshall that advanced through the first round of the Sundance Screenwriters Lab, he directed a proof-of-concept film.
