As a founding member of the avant-garde rock band Lunhui (Again), which fuses Western and Asian traditions, a performer with the Silk Road Ensemble, and a soloist with the New York Philharmonic, London Sinfonietta, and Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Wu has amassed an unmatched fan base for Chinese music on three continents. He has performed with the Silk Road Ensemble in illustrious locations like the Aichi World Expo, the Hollywood Bowl, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and Millennium Park in recent seasons. Wu contributed to the production of the 2010 Grammy Award-winning Yo-Yo Ma & Friends: Songs of Joy & Peace album, which won Best Classical Crossover Album.
