American actor Winston Duke is of Trinidadian descent. His work as M'Baku in the Marvel movies is what made him most famous. In addition to Avengers: Infinity War and the upcoming Avengers: Endgame, he has appeared in Black Panther and both films. His birthplace was Tobago. When he was nine years old, he and his mother, sister, and family immigrated to the United States. Prior to enrolling at Yale University, where he earned his MFA in acting, he studied theatre at the University of Buffalo. Prior to appearing on TV for the first time in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, he worked in the theatre. He was soon cast as a recurring character on Person of Interest. Duke also made a couple of guest appearances on the ABC blockbuster show Modern Family and the CW drama The Messengers. In 2015, he appeared as a special guest in an episode of the crime drama Major Crimes. In Marvel's Black Panther, he made his feature picture debut in 2018. M'Baku, a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is portrayed by him. Additionally, he was in Avengers: Infinity War. In the much anticipated Avengers: Endgame, he will make an appearance. 2019's Us, Jordan Peele's horror movie and sequel to Get Out, stars Duke and Lupita Nyong'o.
