Wendy Thomas is the fourth child and daughter of Wendy's founder and American billionaire Dave Thomas. She is best known for serving as the brand's mascot and namesake. In her capacity as a Wendy's spokesperson, she goes by the name Wendy Thomas.
When Thomas was younger, she had trouble pronouncing the Ls, Rs, Qs, and Es in her own name, Melinda, and as a result, she was known by the nickname Wendy. Wendy, at 8 years old, would eventually take on the moniker Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers, or simply "Wendy's," for her father's business.
