Wendy founded Teach For America in 1989 to mobilize the energy of her generation against the educational disparity in the US. In her undergrad senior thesis at Princeton, she proposed the founding of Teach For America, and over the past 23 years, she has worked to maximize the organization's impact. Teach For America has proven to be an unrivaled wellspring of long-term initiatives for expanding open doors for children. Today, more than 10000 Teach For America corps members, who are outstanding continuing school graduates and experts of all scholarly disciplines, are undergoing two-year showing responsibilities in 50 urban and rural locations.
