Wendy Goldstein Biography

At Epic Records, Ms. Goldstein started out in the A&R division as an assistant. She held an A&R position at Geffen Records from 1993 to 1997 and was directly in charge of signing The Roots, Common, GZA, Mos Def, and The Bloodhound Gang. Then, until her departure from the company in 2007, she served as Head of Urban A&R at Priority Records/Capitol, arranging a label agreement with Disturbing The Peace and managing projects for Snoop Dogg, Chingy, Latoya Luckett, and other artists. She began working for Republic Records in 2009 as an A&R consultant. She joined the label's A&R team formally in 2011 when she was appointed Senior Vice President of A&R. She was appointed Executive Vice President and Head of Urban A&R by the label in 2014. Ms. Goldstein most recently contributed significantly and irreplaceably to the success of platinum singles from Hailee Steinfeld and DNCE, among others, as well as multi-platinum number-one albums from Ariana Grande and The Weeknd as Executive Vice President and Head of Urban A&R since 2014. She worked on Ariana Grande's Dangerous Woman in 2016, which was released in May. She also collaborated closely on The Weeknd's upcoming new full-length album Starboy. She is preparing for records by Steinfeld, DNCE, Marc E. Bassy, Julia Michaels, and Prince Charles in the near future.
