Vinod Thomas is the Asian Development Bank's Director General of Independent Evaluation (ADB). Through the Development Effectiveness Committee, he reports to the ADB Board of Directors. His study seeks to examine ADB's improved viability while also providing workouts to help enlighten ADB's future operations. He is in charge of evaluating methods, initiatives, ventures, and specialist assistance, as well as topical concerns at the territorial country and division levels. The assessments, when taken collectively, analyze the sufficiency of ADB's approaches, strategies, practices, and systems. He is also in charge of overseeing the survey and specific approval of task and program completion reports from operational offices. He is responsible for monitoring the response to assessment proposals as well as assisting assessment limit progress in participating nations. Vinod formerly served as Director-General and Senior Vice-President of the World Bank Group's Independent Evaluation Group (IEG). He properly reports to the Board of Executive Directors and oversees the activities of the Independent Evaluation Group. He was formerly Brazil's Country Director and Vice President of the World Bank, a position he held from October 2001 until July 2005. In this capacity, he was in charge of the Bank's massive loaning and non-loaning portfolio, as well as the Bank's Brazil Country Assistance Strategy and participated in significant administrative events."
