Dr. Vindell Washington served as the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), where he provided significant level official bearing and authority for ONC program tasks and strategies, as well as advances key Administration activities such as conveyance framework change, the Precision Medicine Initiative, and the use of the Interoperability Roadmap. Dr. Washington served as President of the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System (FMOLHS) Medical Group and Chief Medical Information Officer prior to joining ONC. The FMOL Health System, based in Baton Rouge, features five intensive care emergency clinics and subsidiary offices located throughout Louisiana, serving 40 percent of the state's population. Dr. Washington's primary responsibility was to design and implement walking procedures for the health framework with a focus on modifying mobile consideration conveyance methods.
