Vincent Paul Young Jr. (born May 18, 1983 in Houston, Texas), sometimes known as Vince Young or VY, is a retired American football player. He was a dual threat quarterback who had previously played for the Tennessee Titans, Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills, Green Bay Packers, and Cleveland Browns in the National Football League (NFL). On April 29, 2006, the Tennessee Titans selected Youthful as the third overall choice in the 2006 NFL Draft. During his rookie season, he was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and was named to the AFC Pro Bowl team. On April 17, 2007, EA Games announced that Vince Young would be the face of their NFL computer game Madden NFL 2008. He was with the Titans until the end of the 2010 season. He then bounced around from NFL team to NFL team until 2014, when he retired from the level of performance necessary in the NFL. Before becoming a pro, Young played high school football for the University of Texas Longhorns. He was one of three contenders for the 2005 Heisman Trophy as a junior, finishing second to Reggie Bush and ahead of Matt Leinart in the final voting. College Football News selected Youthful the top high school football player of 2005 based on their factual examination. Following the Heisman voting, Young led his team to a BCS National Championship on January 4, 2006, in the 2006 Rose Bowl against the defending BCS national hero University of Southern California Trojans. The game featured two Heisman Trophy winners as Young's opponents: USC quarterback Matt Leinart and USC running back Reggie Bush. The game was dubbed "one of the most predicted contests in the history of high school football." Young has been ranked the tenth best high school football player in history by ESPN. Young completed 75% of his runs for 267 yards and also managed to run for more yards than Bush; he tallied 200 yards at 10 yards per carry."
