American writer, producer, and director Vince Gilligan Jr. Being the creator, head writer, executive producer, and director of AMC's Breaking Bad and its spinoff Better Call Saul, he is most recognized for his work in television. He co-created The Lone Gunmen, an X-Files spinoff, and worked as its writer and producer. Three Primetime Emmy Awards, six Writers Guild of America Awards, two Critics' Choice Television Awards, a Producers Guild of America Award, a Directors Guild of America Award, and a BAFTA have all been given to Gilligan. Outside of television, he co-authored the script for the 2008 picture Hancock and wrote and directed the Breaking Bad sequel film, El Camino, released on October 11, 2019.
