Victoria Vasques Biography

Ms. Vasques oversees the management of Tribal Tech's corporate strategy and specialty units in her capacity as owner, president, and CEO of Tribal Tech LLC. She has worked to advance vitality initiatives, advance training reform, and manage well-being and health ventures for American Indians for more than 30 years. Her background in public administration includes serving as the Assistant Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Division of Education's Office of Indian Education, where she served as the main point of contact inside the executive branch for Indian education across the country. Prior to that, she served as the U.S. Branch of Energy's temporary director of Indian affairs. She also served as the official leader of the White House Initiative on Tribal Colleges and Universities, a training program specialist in the Office of Indian Education, and a member of the President's Commission on the HIV Epidemic and the President's Commission on Indian Reservation Economics. She has taken on roles as an expert for the National Congress of American Indians and a natural contact for The Committee for the 50th Presidential Inauguration as part of her commitment to Indian affairs outside of the federal government. Ms. Vasques received a number of grants from the industry in 2015, including those from the Small Business Administration and the National Center for American Indian Economic Development. She also received the Enterprising Woman of the Year award from Enterprising Women magazine.
