Victoria, a native of Queens, first traveled to Hampton University to pursue a degree in communication disorders. Victoria attended New York University to earn her MBA after graduation. Before exercising her entrepreneurial spirit, Victoria spent 10 years in Corporate America. She established a Financial Services Agency for Aegon USA, working with the corporate division for nine consecutive years. Victoria never lost her desire to write, though, and when the bug struck her once more in 1997, she answered the phone. Victoria's debut book, Temptation, was first published independently, then Time Warner distributed it in 2000. Enticement appeared on several smash hit lists and spent nine consecutive months at the top of the Essence success chart. Temptation was nominated in 2001 for an NAACP Image Award in the category of Outstanding Literature. Victoria has written more than twenty adult novels since Temptation, including JOY Grown Folks Business.
