Vanina Escales Biography

Ni Una Menos was developed by the writer, pundit, and creator Vanina Escales. She was a founding member of the group of authors and was the one to suggest Ni Una Menos as the name for their organization. She serves as the executive director of LatFem, a women's activist media outlet based in Argentina that provides free access to data management mostly focused on Latin America and the Caribbean. She joined the Center for Legal and Social Studies (CELS) Communications Department in August 2014. The Argentine human rights organization CELS was founded during the previous military dictatorship. She worked as a Ph.D. researcher with the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research from 2010 to 2012. (CONICET as per its initials in Spanish). In both 2003 and 2009, she was awarded awards from the National Arts Fund in the category of writing. She wrote a biography of the revolutionary and feminist author Salvadora Medina Onrubia for the brilliant Lou Andreas Salom.
