Tyler Henry is an American clairvoyant medium who features in the 44 Blue Productions and Corbett/Stern Productions television program Hollywood Medium With Tyler Henry. In the United States, the series debuted on the E! Television Network in January 2016. It immediately saw success in the ratings, leading the network to request more episodes. Henry's detractors have referred to him as a sorrowful vampire and questioned Edecision !'s to broadcast private readings as entertainment. Henry is a native of Hanford, a tiny rural community outside of Fresno, California. At the age of ten, he supposedly had his first psychic encounter when he awoke and informed his mother that his elderly, cancer-stricken grandmother was about to pass away and that they should travel right away to visit her. The feeling resembled a remembrance of something that had not yet transpired. A few minutes later, a call confirmed the passing of his grandma. Henry originally wanted to go to college and become a hospice nurse to assist people with their transition after presenting readings to students and instructors at Hanford's Sierra Pacific High School, from which he graduated on an accelerated academic program. But Henry quickly came to be known and started doing readings in Hanford, Fresno, and finally Los Angeles. He soon acquired a sizable celebrity clientele and an agreement to launch a reality TV show. Henry started recording his E! television series when he was 19 years old, and the show started broadcasting a week after his 20th birthday. Henry has never had a driver's license and is frequently transported to readings by his mother.
