DeWitt has experience working as a project manager to create new K12 scientific curricula for the state of Florida. He has also taught high school biology, chemistry, and English at independent schools in the United States and South Korea. He is a student organizer for the new MIT+K12 video outreach initiative and teaches science to high school kids from marginalized backgrounds via the MITES summer program at MIT. DeWitt is also the creator of a high school Chemistry online video textbook that is constantly increasing. In addition to being a National Science Foundation Fellow and a Graduate Resident Tutor at MIT, he has worked as a fellow with the Educational Foundation of America's Teaching for Experience program.
