Tony Atlas debuted in the ring as Mr. USA in 1974. Before entering professional wrestling, Tony Atlas was a Mr. USA bodybuilder. He began his career with the National Wrestling Alliance, where he quickly became embroiled in a rivalry with the anti-American Ivan Koloff and the Iron Sheik. Atlas wrestled for World Championship Wrestling, Jim Crockett Promotions of the NWA, the World Wrestling Council, World Class Championship Wrestling, the American Wrestling Association, and the World Wrestling Federation throughout his professional wrestling career. Tommy Rich (as TNT), Dick Murdoch, and Rocky Johnson were among his regular companions. He was also recognised for being the first person to pin Hulk Hogan cleanly.
