Toni G. Verstandig is the senior policy adviser of the Center for Middle East Peace and Economic Cooperation and the executive director of the Aspen Institute's Middle East Programs. At the State Department, he has also held the position of deputy assistant secretary for Near Eastern Affairs, where she oversaw and coordinated US bilateral relations, broad policy advancements pertaining to Israel, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and the Palestinian Authority, as well as US economic and commercial policies in the Middle East.
