Tomas Hult Biography

At Michigan State University's Eli Broad College of Business, Dr. Tomas Hult holds the Byington Endowed Chair, teaches marketing and international business, and oversees the International Business Center (IBC) (John W. Byington was a former president of the NPD Group Worldwide Inc.). He has been a faculty member at Michigan State University since January 2001. In addition to teaching for the departments of management and supply chain management, he holds a post in the marketing department. International business, marketing strategy, supply chain management, and strategic management are the areas of specialization for Dr. Hult's research. Dr. Hult uses this knowledge while conducting conversations on the Michigan Business Network's globalEDGE Business Beat with esteemed academic and business figures. Dr. Hult formerly held the roles of Associate Dean, Professor of Marketing and Supply Chain Management, and Eli Broad Professor of International Business at MSU's Eli Broad College of Business. Both the graduate and undergraduate public business programs offered in the United States are continuously ranked among the top 15 universities by MSU's Broad College of Business. Daniel and Isabelle, two of Tomas and Laurie's children, also hold Swedish and American citizenship.
