Tinie Tempah is the stage name of English rapper, singer, and composer Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu. Since 2009, he has had a recording contract with Warner Music Group subsidiary Parlophone Records. In 2007, he and his cousin Dumi Oburota founded the musical and clothing business Disturbing London Records. After releasing several mixtapes, he finally made his eagerly anticipated debut with the release of Disc-Overy in October 2010. The album peaked at number one and received a platinum certification the following year. It was preceded by the two British number-one singles Pass Out and Written in the Stars. He received the Best British Breakthrough Act and Best British Single Brit Awards in February 2011. He released Demonstration, the title of his second album, in November 2013. The album debuted at number three and received a gold certification from the BPI the following year. It was preceded by the top 10 songs Trampoline and Children of the Sun. Not Letting Go, the lead track from his third album Youth, was released in June 2015. With this, Tempah became the rapper with the most UK number ones, surpassing Dizzee Rascal.
