Tina L. Vick, the aunt of NFL superstar Michael Vick, was born and reared in the roughest neighborhood in Newport News, Virginia. She attended public schools and earned her high school diploma from Homer L. Ferguson in 1980. She was the first person to get a scholarship for public housing. As a result, she was able to attend college and cultivate a strong work ethic. Vick, who understood she didn't want to remain impoverished, worked while attending school. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communications in 1984 from Richmond, Virginia's Commonwealth University. Vick has been influencing those around her for 30 years. The Vick family and Tina are examples of how poverty can be overcome. She has spent the vast portion of her life encouraging people and encouraging them to follow their aspirations. To assist prevent adolescent pregnancy and give young people in her town hope for the future, she established a Girl's Camp in 2013. Vick is the primary broker of Tina L. Vick Realty & Development Company, LLC as well as a best-selling author, speaker, and community activist. Growing Up Vick: The Strength and Resilience of the Vick Family, her most recent book, is an engrossing narrative that explores many of the difficulties associated with being related to a professional player who was once the most paid in NFL history.
