Tim Bennett Biography

The farm used to have a purebred dairy herd and an egg business that sold to local customers. It now operates a cattle breeding business that breeds animals for premium Aberdeen Angus meat. Between 1998 and 2006, Tim served as the National Farmers Union of England and Wales vice president before becoming its president. Between 2000 to 2006, he served as a governor of the Institute of Grassland and Environmental Research. He presently serves on the Council of Food From Britain, where he also serves on the compensation committee. He is also the Chair of the Milk Sector Company on the new Levy Board UK and a member of the Agricultural Land Tribunal for Wales. Tim has an extensive understanding of the food supply chain and expertise in the majority of main agricultural industries as well as local retail sales. Additionally, he volunteers his time with the Welsh organization Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group, which offers assistance with on-farm nature protection.
