Thomas Krane Biography

Thomas began working with Insight in 2012 and is currently a vice president. He focuses on software infrastructure, cybersecurity, DevOps, and educational technologies. Thomas also collaborates closely with the Insight Ignite program, using his knowledge from the investment team to create thought-provoking materials for Global 2000 CEOs. During his tenure at Insight, Thomas has worked with more than 15 new investments and acquisitions, the majority of which were fast-growing B2B software firms. His holdings include Centis QASymphony Cylance Recorded Future Darktrace Prevalent Tenable Resolve Systems Nearpod, Skytap, Mirantis, LiveAction, and 1stdibs. Thomas spent four years at the University of Pennsylvania studying astrophysics, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and receiving his master's degree. Thomas enjoys music much and performs with his band in New York on guitar and bass. Rubber Soul is his record for a desolate island.
