Swedish Chamber Orchestra Chief Conductor Thomas Dausgaard is the Chief Conductor Designate of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. After serving as its Principal Conductor from 2004 to 2011, Principal Guest Conductor of the Seattle Symphony, Honorary Conductor of the Orchestra della Toscana (ORT), and Honorary Conductor of the Danish National Symphony Orchestra. His broad discography of critically praised records and his electrifying live performances are known for his originality and ingenuity in programming. He frequently performs with many of the top orchestras in the world, such as the Munich Philharmonic and Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra in Europe. State Opera of Dresden Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra Berlin Konzerthaus London Symphony Orchestra Philharmonia Orchestra of Europe's Chamber Orchestra Vienna Symphony Orchestra The BBC Symphony and the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra. He started working in North America as Seiji Ozawa's assistant and has subsequently performed with The Cleveland Orchestra. New World Symphony the Washington National Symphony Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra of Baltimore Toronto Symphony, the Montreal Symphony, and the Houston Symphony. Additionally, he frequently travels to Asia and Australia, where he has recently performed with the Sydney and Melbourne Symphonies, the New Japan Philharmonic, the Hong Kong Philharmonic, and the New Japan Symphony.
