They were also one of three bands listed on the cover page of the magazine's '100 Bands You Need To Know in 2010', alongside Never Shout Never and Hey Monday. Symphony Soldier was released on August 23, 2011, with the first track Bad being published on iTunes on July 11, 2011, and the band announcing it on July 18. The Cab self-released Symphony Soldier after leaving their Fueled by Ramen/Decaydance label and self-funding the whole album. AbsolutePunk gave the album a perfect score of 95 percent and called it a masterpiece. Eleven pre-order bundles, ranging in price from $10 to $9,999, are currently available as packages on the band's website. Symphony Soldier is exclusively available as physical CDs through the band's website and is accessible digitally on iTunes. Before eventually releasing their new album, Symphony Soldier, on June 22, 2011, The Cab announced on their website that they were leaving their labels Fueled by Ramen and Decaydance Records. Bad is the album's first song, which aired on Sirius XM Radio. Symphony Soldier was released on August 23, 2011, with the band announcing the release of their debut song, Bad, on iTunes in early July. AbsolutePunk gave the album a perfect score, calling it a masterpiece. Ian Crawford, a former Cab guitarist, performed guitar on the record. Pete Wentz, Bruno Mars, and Adam Levine are among the guest writers on the track. In the fall of 2011, the band went on tour with Simple Plan, Forever The Sickest Kids, and Marianas Trench. During January and February 2012, the band co-headlined the Everything's Fine Symphony Soldier tour with closest mates The Summer Set. He Is We, Days Difference, and Paradise Fears were the supporting bands. In the summer of 2012, the band co-headlined a tour with Parachute. They announced on June 20, 2012, that they would be opening for Maroon 5 on their Overexposed World Tour, which will take place in September and October. S. Korea, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, China, Japan, Taiwan, and Australia were among the countries they visited. On August 31, 2012, The Cab announced that they had secured a record deal with the Universal Republic after staying independent for almost a year. In late 2012, after signing with the record company, the band stated in an interview that they had begun production on their next album, which would be released in 2013.
