The three guys, Billy Davis Jr., Ron Townson, and Lamonte McLemore, all went their ways as youths while growing up in St. Louis, Missouri. Still, they ultimately ended up in Los Angeles to be incredibly wealthy. Billy studied at Washington Tech and performed in several gospel and soul groups.
He eventually ended himself in Los Angeles, where he founded his club and wanted to sign with Motown's West Coast recording company. While serving in the Navy, Lamonte developed his baseball and photography skills to discover his love for singing. Finally, Ron has sung on the show from the start.
