In May 2014, Thad Hill was appointed to the positions of president, chief executive officer, and member of the board of directors of Calpine. As the organization's Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Slope joined it in September 2008. In October 2010, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer, and in December 2012, he was appointed President.
Before joining Calpine, Mr. Slope served as President of NRG Texas from 2007 to 2008 while working for NRG Energy from 2006 to 2008. Before joining NRG, Mr. Slope served as Texas Genco LP's Executive Vice President of Strategy and Business Development from 2005 to 2006. He worked with Boston Consulting Group Inc.
