Terri Garber is an American actress on television and in movies. She is known for playing Ashton Main, a Southern Belle woman, in the three-part miniseries North and South. Garber, the youngest of three children, spent his formative years in Miami, Florida. Their mother ran a culinary school, while their father served as a legal counselor. At 16, Garber made his professional acting debut at Miami's Coconut Grove Playhouse. She signed a contract that made her a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), and she decided to go to New York to and theatrical work. She handled her first significant work after moving to New York in the 1982 TV series Texas, which launched her career. She relocated to Los Angeles to book North and South and do arrangement pilots. She worked on several more daytime and evening shows after North and South, such as Dynasty Santa Barbara General Hospital and As the World Turns. In addition, she appeared as a guest star in various show plots and highlight videos. Garber wed William Roudebush, a theatre teacher for secondary schools, in 2013. Her first husband, Chris Hager's daughter Molly Hager is a talented Broadway on-screen character. Recently, Garber and her sister Lisa Rubenstein worked to create Sisters Alchemy, an all-normal, well-put-up, cleaner organization. Boo is a Maltese-Poodle mix owned by Garber, and Roudebush, who reside in New York City.
