Award-winning Chinle, Arizona native Tatanka Means is a stand-up comedian, motivational speaker, and actress. He speaks for the Omaha, Oglala Lakota, and Navajo peoples. His most recent filmography includes THE SON on AMC, ONCE UPON A RIVER, a feature picture based on the New York Times best book THE CHICKASAW RANCHER, and THE LIBERATOR, a Netflix miniseries. Means can be seen in the National Geographic Channel television movie SAINTS & STRANGERS and season one of the AMC series THE SON. In addition, he had roles in THE NIGHT SHIFT on NBC, A MILLION WAYS TO DIE IN THE WEST, BANSHEE season two on Cinemax, and GRAVES on Epix. Other notable appearances in cinema and television include playing Crazy Horse in Steven Spielberg's TNT miniseries INTO THE WEST and playing "Wolf" in the Judy Blume adaptation TIGER EYES. Tatanka does stand-up comedy worldwide in the United States and Canada, in addition to acting. One of the most in-demand Native American comedians performing today is Tatanka. He performs with the entertaining Native American comedy troupe 49 Laughs as well. Tatanka entertains audiences across Indian Country, from casinos and schools, conferences and universities, to jails and rehab facilities, while imparting humor and inspirational messages to people of all ages. Means received praise and a prize for his wit when Albuquerque The Magazine named him "Best Comedian." Means also created and established Tatanka Clothing, his own screen printing business.
