Tamasin Ford Biography

Product designer, educator, and entrepreneur Tamasin Ford used these skills to develop Power Up Tech Academy, a coding school for children in grades K–8. Before that, she spent ten years building bespoke websites, nine of them while running her own company, SharpCurve Solutions. She also provided business strategy advice to Fortune 100 companies with The Boston Consulting Group. She has been teaching individual piano lessons for over 15 years. In addition, she has shown science in classroom and theatre settings for small private gatherings. Tamasin is passionate about teaching youngsters creativity skills at a young age. She teaches coding to children from kindergarten through eighth grade at Power Up Tech Academy in languages including Scratch Jr., Python, and HTML/CSS/JS. She speaks to students about careers in innovation and her experiences as a female in tech. She has been a welcomed instructor at the University of Chicago FEMMES Code Camp and Chicago Scratch Day.
