The president and chief executive officer of Schnitzer Steel Industries Inc. are Tamara L. Lundgren, a board of directors (SSI) member. She just completed her tenure as Chairman of the Board and is now the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the U.S. Office of Commerce. After leaving Wellesley College, Ms. Lundgren attended the Northwestern University School of Legal to earn her law degree.
