T Kira Madden is an eccentric APIA writer, amateur performer, and photographer who resides in New York City. She graduated with a BA in planning and writing from Eugene Lang College and Parsons School of Design and an MFA in experimental writing from Sarah Lawrence College. She is the founding Editor-in-Chief of No Tokens, a publication of paper and craftsmanship, and a 2017 recipient of a true-to-life writing fellowship from the New York Foundation for the Arts and the NYSCA. She has received support from Yaddo, where she won the 2017 Linda Collins Endowed Residency Award, The MacDowell Colony, Hedgebrook Tin House, DISQUIET Summer Literary Seminars, and The MacDowell Colony. LONG LIVE THE TRIBE OF FATHERLESS GIRLS, her debut book is scheduled to be released by Bloomsbury on March 5, 2019. She supports writing programs for the poor and formerly imprisoned individuals and currently teaches at Sarah Lawrence College.
