She has gained experience in both outpatient settings and long-term care homes. Currently, she is a dementia and Alzheimer's counselor at a long-term care facility in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She is a recognized expert in dementia, including Alzheimer's disease. In 1999, Susan founded GeriScan. This national counseling firm focused on dementia training for social insurance providers, winning two provincial business awards.
