Since the age of three, Tempest Reid has known she must play a role on television. She worked against Brad Pitt in her first acting role. The Academy Award-winning film Twelve Years a Slave starring Paul Giamatti, Michael Fassbender, and Chiwetel Ejiofor was directed by Steve McQueen for Fox Searchlight. The storm continued to appear in the TVOne films The Summoning, starring Paula Jai Parker, and White Water, directed by Rusty Cundieff. She finished filming a major role in the upcoming American Girl movie Gemma at the end of 2015, and in January 2016, her movie Sleight, which starred Jacob Latimore and Dule Hill, made its Sundance debut before being acquired by Blumhouse. Most recently, Judy Greer directed her in A Happening of Monumental Proportions with Allison Janney and the rapper/on-screen persona Common. Storm has guest star roles on Chicago PD among her television credits. Los Angeles' NCIS Nicky and The Thundermans Dawn and Ricky Dicky for Nickelodeon. Her role as Meg Murry in A Wrinkle in Time is scheduled (2018).
