Steve earned a B.A. in Communications Studies from Concordia University in Montreal in 1989 and was Valedictorian of the 1989 graduating class. Steve attended law school in Toronto from 1989 to 1991 and was York University's official Rhodes Scholarship Candidate in 1990. Ten years later, he returned to York University and earned a B.A. in Psychology.
