Stephen DeBerry Biography

Stephen DeBerry is the CEO of Bronze Investments, a venture business focused on the Eastside community � areas on the social, monetary, and ecological edge by structure. He is a Silicon Valley veteran with over 20 years of experience, having worked as a businessperson and speculator for the creators of Microsoft eBay and Lotus Software. He intends to leverage technology and revenue-generating businesses for good. DeBerry has also served on boards such as The California Endowment, where he oversaw its $4 billion endowment, and Planned Parenthood Federation of America, where he now chairs the Investment Committee. He oversees The Record House, an East Palo Alto artisan endeavor that connects the Silicon Valley people group with visitors from all over the country to collaborate while creating one of the world's most intriguing record collections. DeBerry has a four-year collegiate education in human sciences from UCLA, as well as a Master's degree in social human sciences and an MBA from The University of Oxford. He is a Marshall Scholar and Aspen Institute Henry Crown Fellow who has been designated one of the 100 most influential African-Americans in the United States by Ebony Magazine and The Root/Washington Post. DeBerry is a national champion hurdler and experienced athlete who was part of the first African-American climbing team to summit Denali, North America's highest peak. That journey is documented in the film An American Ascent. He resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and two daughters."
