But his world quickly became cloudy and then disappeared. Steve, befuddled and despondent, became completely and irrevocably blind. He was twelve years old. But Steve is a unique guy. When presented with the option to sell matches at traffic junctions, he chose another path and has spent his time on Earth removing every impediment that stood in his way. Steve, a global junior runner, went on to play for the England Blind Cricket team. He trained with Aston Villa and then fulfilled a long-held ambition by driving his English visually impaired football team to the World Cup. Steve then set himself a daring goal: to become the fastest visually impaired guy in the planet. He powered to two world speed records ashore and in the ocean before taking off and discovering global media adulation as the world's first visually impaired pilot. Steve has one handicap in his daily life: he plays golf off a 14 handicap.
