Stephanie Foo, born in Malaysia and raised in San Jose, California, is an American radio journalist, producer, and author. She gained prominence for her work on public radio, notably as a producer for This American Life (2015–2018), where she created impactful stories like the award-winning episode "The Underdog," which won a Third Coast International Audio Festival award. She also produced for Snap Judgment and contributed to investigative podcasts like “In the Dark”. Foo’s debut book, “What My Bones Know: A Memoir of Healing from Complex Trauma” (2022), a New York Times bestseller, details her journey with complex PTSD, blending personal narrative with research on trauma.
