Spose, a 25-year-old producer and rapper from Wells, Maine, USA, has been creating music since he was nine and rapping since he was fourteen. Spose's artistic activities have reached a new level since the publication of his debut album Preposterously Dank in 2008 on his own imprint. He was nominated Maine's Best HipHop Act at the WePushButtons Awards in both 2008 and 2009, and he was also named Best Hiphop Act in the Portland Phoenix's Best Music Poll in 2010. He released We Smoked It All, a mixtape with fellow rapper Cam Groves, in 2009. I'm Awesome, a tune from that mixtape produced by Spose, earned regional radio exposure in New England, earning Spose his first major label recording contract with Universal Republic Records. The track was released nationally in March 2009 and became gold after selling over 500000 digital downloads in only a few months. Spose took advantage of the chance to establish his own label, Preposterously Dank Entertainment, situated in Wells, Maine. Spose, the aforementioned rapper Cam Groves, hip-hop duo Educated Advocates, and Doctor Astronaut's space-funk-sex-r'n'b are among the artists signed to his imprint. Spose released both Educated Advocates' debut album, In Sessions, and his own indie record, Happy Medium, in 2010. Spose has shared the stage with renowned superstars such as Drake. J. Cole B.o.B.
