Sofi Bonde was born in Gteborg, Sweden. Sofi met guitarist/producer Eric J (Freeform Five Essex) at a fashion show in NYC in 2003, where he had just completed playing. They had composed their debut song in a matter of days. Sofi had previously made a pop album as a youngster with other people making the decisions; this time she wanted to record her own songs in her own style. So, together with Eric J and co-producer/engineer Eric Tew (Super Furry Animals), Sheryl Crow Cheap Trick) Sofi set up shop in a basement on West Broadway in New York City and began recording.
