Sir Sly is an American indie pop band located in Los Angeles, California, formerly known as The Royal Sons. Landon Jacobs, vocalist, and instrumentalists Jason Suwito and Hayden Coplen make up the band. While operating anonymously under the band moniker The Royal Sons at first, the group steadily acquired a solid fanbase and managed to top The Hype Machine list before disclosing their names. Their first band raised nearly $13000 through a Kickstarter effort, recorded a CD, and then disbanded. Sir Sly is the new moniker they've given to their band. Their debut single Ghost was released on the National Anthem and Neon Gold labels on March 4, 2013, followed by the single Gold on May 21, 2013. Gold peaked at No. 30 on the Billboard Alternative Songs list and No. 45 on the Rock Airplay chart. Gold appears in the video game MLB 14: The Show. The band also rose to worldwide prominence with the publication of the Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag award trailer, which included their song Gold. Gold remixed by Betablock3r was also utilized in a Cadillac advertising. On September 16, 2014, their debut album You Haunt Me was published. During the week of October 18, 2014, the album track You Haunt Me peaked at number three on Sirius XM's Alt 18 countdown on AltNation.
